چکیده

Industrial production brings serious Cr(Ⅵ) pollution problems, so as to explore new treatment methods for Cr(Ⅵ), In this paper, modified montmorillonite was prepared by modifying with starch and lanthanum nitrate, its adsorption mechanism effect on were explored. The monundonerization properties characterized Zeta potential, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy analysis(SEM). results showed that: Lanthanum-modified starch-modified lanthanum-modified have better effects 10 mg/L Cr(VI) polluted solution, which are 73.9% 58.6%, respectively, while Na-based has no capacity. Both only exist the surface of montmorillonite, can reduce overall electronegativity that ability adsorb Cr(VI), At same time, after nitrate is covered hydroxyl groups, it easy form coordination complexes anions, further enhances effect, provides a research idea direction removal Cr(VI).

Cr(VI) Adsorption on Red Mud Modified by Lanthanum: Performance, Kinetics and Mechanisms
Water pollution caused by the highly toxic metal hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) creates significant human health and ecological risks. In this study, a novel adsorbent was used to treat Cr(VI)-containing wastewater; the adsorbent was prepared using red mud (RM) generated from the alumina production industry and the rare earth element lanthanum. This study explored adsorption performance, kinetics...
متن کاملOptimization of Crystal Violet Adsorption by Chemically Modified Potato Starch Using Response Surface Methodology
In this research, a response surface methodology (RSM) was used to investigate the effects of independent parameters (pH, contact time, temperature, adsorbent dosage, and initial concentration of pollutant), their simultaneous interactions, and quadratic effects on crystal violet adsorption onto two starch based materials in the form of batch experiments. The characterizing results indicated th...

متن کاملA Model for Metal Adsorption on Montmorillonite.
A consistent thermodynamic model is developed for metal sorption on expanding 2:1 layer clays such as montmorillonite. The particle of clay, including lamellae and interlayers, is represented as a porous solid bearing a permanent negative charge (resulting from isomorphic substitution) with an infinite plane interface (i.e., edges) with the solution. Cation exchange occurs inside the clay parti...
متن کاملThermal stabilization of alumina modified by lanthanum
Transition alumina, with different La loadings, were synthesized from boehmite (AlOOH) hydrosols containing a PEO/PPO/PEO triblock copolymer (Pluronics P123) and lanthanum nitrate. After calcination at 500 °C, the xerogels prepared from these sols have large specific surface area ( 400 m/g) and very large porous volumes, increasing with the amount of La to reach 2.5 cm/g for La/(La + Al) = 0.03...
